Message from the Principal

Dear Friends of La Salle,

The aim of education is to create joy in learning and help each student reach her/his highest level of intellect and character in order to serve God and our fellow man. An education at La Salle can inspire individuals to achieve excellence while experiencing the difference between knowing and living one's faith and knowing and understanding the power of love (God's love and our own).

We begin our involvement with students by emphasizing the importance of his or her high school years. Recent trends indicate that colleges and employers will demand ever-increasing levels of competence in basic skills while also seeking graduates who have demonstrated outstanding character. A well-rounded and carefully planned education is essential to each of our student's future success. Working together, we can make certain that the students of La Salle meet their educational objectives.

One aspect of our program that sets La Salle apart from other schools is the mindset of our staff toward their students. Key aspects of this mindset are as follows:

  • The curriculum you are learning is important and valuable!
  • You can!
  • I will not give up on you!
  • You are special!
  • Teaching is a joyful act!
  • God is present within you!

We are proud of what we achieve at La Salle – in our classrooms, in our offices, and on our playing fields and stages. Our achievements are due in no small part to a staff of dedicated, aspiring men and women who share a common goal – to do what is best for our students. We are always looking for ways to achieve that goal. This year as in the past, we will concentrate on effective processes, processes that need improvement, and procedures to facilitate that improvement.

Parents, who have any concerns about any aspect of their son or daughter's classes, are free to contact the teacher, a guidance counselor or me. We welcome your inquiries.

I look forward to meeting you as the year progresses.

Sincerely,

Tom Dudley
