La Salle's dedicated volunteers allow our school to offer students and their families engaging and memorable experiences. La Salle encourages parents to be actively involved in our community to enrich their experience as high school parents – and to benefit the community as a whole.
La Salle does not require mandatory volunteer hours. However, we ask parents to commit at least 20 volunteer hours each school year to their area of interest or expertise. Your gift of time and talent offsets thousands of dollars in expenses, while also providing your family the chance to experience our vibrant La Salle community.
Our programs and events are heavily dependent upon parent volunteers for success and we are grateful for every volunteer who chooses to partner with us. We welcome and encourage parents, past parents, alumni, grandparents, and friends of La Salle to volunteer at the school throughout the year.
Whether you are interested in chairing an event or helping on an occasional evening, your help is vital to continuing the legacy of community involvement at La Salle.
Please complete and submit this online volunteer sign up form and Lauren Craven '05, Advancement and Communications Associate, will be in touch with you soon to discuss your interests. Feel free to e-mail or call Lauren with any questions at 503.353.1444.

Called to Protect
Volunteers who will be in the presence of students, regardless of the amount of time, need to take annual Called to Protect training.
The first training requires the volunteer to attend a training session here at La Salle.
The current schedule for video training is:
Wednesday, December 9
All classes begin at 6:00 pm and end by 7:30 pm unless otherwise noted and will take place in the La Salle Center Fireside Room. For more information or to confirm the date that you will attend, please e-mail Mary Neil at firstname.lastname@example.org
If a volunteer has already completed the video training in a previous year, they will only need to complete an online module to become up-to-date for 2015-2016 year. Instructions for how to complete the module are downloadable here, or please contact Lauren or Mary for more information.
