  • Participate in professional learning teams, departmental goals, and school-wide professional development initiatives.
  • Monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments.
  • Maintain accurate student grades, records and/or portfolios.

Job Summary:
  • Assist students in the following areas: personal counseling, academic guidance, and college guidance.
  • Work cooperatively with administrators, staff, students & families.
  • Deal appropriately with sensitive information & situations.
  • Provide counseling support for students with learning differences.
  • Assist students in requesting accommodations for SAT/ACT testing.
  • Write letters of recommendation as requested by the student for college and university admissions, scholarships, financial aid or prospective employers.

  • Possess a solid foundation in contemporary and classic literature as well as nonfiction texts
  • Participate in professional learning teams, departmental goals, and school-wide professional development initiatives.
  • Monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments.
