.8 Drama Teacher and Drama Production Director (Stipend)

Job Summary:
  • In addition to teaching 4 Drama classes, the La Salle Prep Theatre Director will be in charge of developing and implementing the theatre program and will produce and/or direct two main stage productions per year
  • Provide an academically rigorous curriculum that aligns with the Fine Arts department curriculum/content maps and the Common Core Standards
  • Teaches acting principles and techniques to individuals and groups and conducts readings to evaluate student’s talent
  • Teaches enunciation, diction, voice development and dialects, using voice exercises, speech drills, explanation, lectures and improvisation
  • Discusses and demonstrates vocal and body expression to teach acting styles, character development and personality projection

The Application Process

Advancement Associate

Job Summary:

Advancement Associate to provide general administrative support to the Office of Advancement, while participating in all fundraising and public relations activities including, but not limited to; direct mail appeals, volunteer coordination, donor research and project management and special events.

Individual must have strong computer skills, especially a demonstrated proficiency (intermediate-advanced) in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in database system management a plus; preferably using Blackbaud’s The Raiser’s Edge and Greater Giving. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines is required. Demonstrated experience in previous environments of the ability to cooperate as a member of a team in an effort to meet key initiatives.

Flexibility is necessary in order to attend a select number of evening and weekend events and activities throughout the year. Applicant should have reliable transportation in order to complete errands within the Portland metro area.

Applicant must have completed an associate’s degree or higher in business or finance preferred. Experience in a school-related or non-profit administrative position is highly desirable. Position is 10-month (June 1, 2016-March 31, 2017), 15 hours per week, with a pay range of $15-$16 per hour.

  • Collaborate with Instructional Coach, Counselor and Department members to support student learning
