Director of Alumni Relations

Job Summary:

La Salle Catholic College Preparatory , a grade 9-12 private high school in Milwaukie, Oregon, has an immediate opening for a full-time Director of Alumni Relations who will manage the Office of Alumni Relations, including the planning, supervision and implementation of all events, programs and communications involving alumni. In addition, the successful candidate, through move management and networking, will increase alumni support, promote La Salle Prep and build connections with alumni that will attract their financial support and their engagement with the school for years to come.

Individual must have demonstrated computer skills, especially an intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Desktop publishing competence and a familiarity with Adobe Design Standard, including InDesign as well as Blackbaud’s The Raiser’s Edge data base system are preferred in order to manage prospects. Ability and demonstrated experience in moves management, gift solicitation and design and development of presentation materials is expected. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, strong oral and written skills and the ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines are required, as well as the ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow through on a variety of concurrent projects. Ability to support collaboratively and collegially the work of a volunteer alumni board are required. Candidate will be expected to demonstrate cooperation as part of a “team” in order to meet key initiatives. Frequent evening and weekend events and activities occur throughout the year where attendance is required. Preferential consideration may be given to qualified alumnus of the school.

Bachelor’s degree in a business related field is required. Demonstrated marketing and sales experience of 3-5 years is required. Move management/event planning experience of 3-5 years preferred. Development/advancement related experience of 3-5 years is preferred. Position is exempt, year round and offers competitive benefits.
