Baseball camp features three minor leaguers
La Salle's annual winter middle school baseball camp on January 30th and 31st will be held in the Space Age Fuel Gymnasium and will feature three current minor league baseball players.

La Salle Prep comes to the aid of Haiti
The La Salle Prep community wasted no time in coming to the aid of the Haitian earthquake victims this week. Seniors Lindsey Allais and Julia Sheets, who are Co-Vice Presidents of Community Service at La Salle, came to school Thursday morning with a proposal for a one day, school-wide class competition to raise funds for the Mercy Corps Emergency Relief Effort.

The Christmas season brought many opportunities for the 618 students at La Salle Prep in Clackamas County to reflect on the true meaning of the holiday, to prepare for Christ’s coming and to share their good fortune with others.

La Salle hosts youth basketball nights in January
La Salle Prep’s home openers for both the boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball teams will celebrate local youth basketball players. Youth basketball players ages 10-14 are welcome to attend either the Girls’ Youth Basketball Night on Friday, January 8, 2010 or the Boys’ Youth Basketball Night on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.

In 2008, the Willamette Valley was hit with severe winter weather, causing schools like La Salle to close. Below are options and ways to stay informed about how La Salle will communicate delays and closures due to inclement weather.
La Salle senior, coach earn 4A all-state honors
La Salle Prep’s 2009 State Championship soccer program earned recognition from The Oregonian on December 8th when the paper named senior defender David Leslie 4A Co-Player of the Year and head coach Joe Frimpong 4A Coach of the Year.

La Salle Prep freshman honors veterans in memory of family friend
After months of hard work, La Salle Prep freshman Tristan Gomez (pictured right) spent the morning of Tuesday, November 10th at Portland’s VA hospital handing out 110 grooming kits to veterans and thanking them for their service.

Called to Protect training scheduled for June 4
There will be a child abuse prevention training at La Salle Prep, Thursday, June 4, from 6:30-8:00 pm in the Hamersly Library. Anyone who expects to volunteer next year with students four or more times during the school year, is required to complete training.

Drive for Five raises over $1,000 for Doernbecher
The 2009 Drive for Five Dodgeball Tournament raised $1,032 for the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. The seniors defeated the staff to win the tournament.
