Forecasting Information
for the 2010-2011 School Year

It is very important that parents and students are informed and involved throughout our forecasting process. For your information, an outline of the process is detailed below. Students should be talking to their teachers and their parents about courses for next year.

March 16: Teacher recommendations are included in the comment section of the P4 progress report. Students can begin researching courses they would like to take by looking at the course syllabus’s provided by the teachers on the department web pages.

March 29-April 1: Online course requesting will take place during class in the computer lab during the student’s English course. At this time, these students will make their course request selections based on the recommendations they have received from their teachers and their personal preferences.

April 6: Class of 2014 forecasting night. Welcome to La Salle!

April 9: Course request lists given to departments for review/approval.

April 13: Integrated Science Challenge Exam (Part I - 4:00 p.m. Room #207)

April 14: Computer Skill Exam (4:00 p.m. Computer Lab)

April 15: World Languages Challenge Exam (4:00 p.m.)
• French Exam in Room #108
• German Exam in Room #127
• Spanish Exam in Room #121

April 16: Course request lists will be included in the P5 progress report sent home to families for review. Families wishing to edit the course requests can call or email the academic office or the student’s counselor.

April 17: Mathematics Placement Exam (10:00 a.m. Room #135)

April 19: Mathematics Placement Exam Make-Up (4:00 p.m. Room #135)

April 20: Integrated Science Challenge Exam (Part II 4:00 p.m. Room #207)

April 21: Advanced Placement night at La Salle from 7-8pm. All students signed up for an AP class in the fall of 2010 are required to attend.

May 3: Final edit date for course requests. After this date, all course requests will be used in building the student schedules.

June 1: Master Schedule completed and preliminary student schedules mailed home to students and parents.

June 11: Due date for all schedule change requests. Schedule change requests should be made to the academic office.

June 25: Final schedules mailed home to families.

July 1-31: Academic Offices Closed
